Condensed Product CatalogGLI's Condensed Product Catalog was designed to reduce GLI's literature costs while improving its image. The condensed product catalog provided GLI's sales force with a high-profile, low-cost alternative to the company's three-pound manually bound catalog. The condensed catalog, and the CD-ROM catalog combined to reduce GLI's literature costs while expanding distribution to customers. |

The first spread introduced the company's history, products, markets and mission statement. Information regarding parent and sister companies was offered, and readers were invited to visit the company's website (which was also designed by me) |

In addition to contact information, the back of the Condensed Catalog was used to promote two other important marketing tools: GLI's CD-ROM and web site. In fact, all the company's sales support media was integrated in such a way that each promoted the others. This served to increase the use of newer, less expensive, more informative media. |

I developed all aspects of the Condensed Catalog through several annual revisions, including design, and layout, authoring of text, illustration, product photography, and management of outsourced production. Design Concept Since GLI sold its products into many markets, the Condensed Catalog was developed as five two-page spreads. Each spread focused vertically on one of GLI's industrial water markets, and discussed the role of GLI's products in that market sector. |

The Environmental Monitoring spread discussed some of GLI's newer products. With increased regulatory requirements for environmental monitoring, GLI entered into an exclusive distribution contract for Manning Environmental Samplers. I photographed all of these products in-house. I also designed the faceplates for the hand-held meters shown on the right-hand page. |
